The Etna DOC Rosso from the Tenuta Bastonaca winery in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, is made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes. The vines are trained as bush vines and cultivated on sandy soil using natural methods. After manual harvesting with selection in the vineyard, the bunches are transported to the winery and vinified in steel, then the wine ages for 12-18 months in large oak barrels. In the glass it presents a deep and bright ruby red, with ethereal hints of red fruit and fine spices.
