Almond Lenten Biscuits "Mazzini" Lenten biscuits were born in the period before Easter, once Lent was a period of restrictions related to food compared to today. These sweets are born from recipes handed down by our grandmothers, from monasteries where nuns and monks guarded the art of ancient sweets, created with the few ingredients available they managed to make these crunchy biscuits with a full and complete flavor.
