“Sud” by Tenuta Bastonaca is an intense and spicy red wine from the Terre Siciliane IGT. It is born on calcareous, red and sandy soils of Vittoria (RG), where the Nero d'Avola and Grenache Tannat grapes are grown using natural methods and in organic conversion. After hand-picking and vinification in steel, the wine ages in wood for 12 months, followed by a rest period in the bottle for another 8 months. It appears deep garnet red in the glass, with intense and persistent taste-olfactory hints of ripe red fruit, fine spices and dark chocolate.
