Sicilian cards normally consist of decks of 40 cards of 4 different suits, but there is a great stylistic variety in the design of the cards, depending above all on the geographical area. In some regions, Italian or Spanish- suited cards are widespread, with the suits of clubs (sometimes also called clubs), cups, coins (also called golds) and swords and with the figures of jack (or queen) , knight and king ; in others, illustrated cards are widespread with the French suits , hearts , diamonds , clubs and spades , with the figures of jack , queen and king . For each suit we find the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, plus the ace and the figures.
